INFO [plugin.rest.filter.BasicApplicationAuthenticationFilter] Application failed authentication

Please help me in troubleshooting the following:

INFO [plugin.rest.filter.BasicApplicationAuthenticationFilter] Application 'jira' failed authentication

and also confluence:

http-nio-8095-exec-19 INFO [plugin.rest.filter.BasicApplicationAuthenticationFilter] Application 'Confluence' failed authentication

Application password is correct and authentication test is succesful.Updated the passwords also

could you please explain in detail on when do you get this error?

is that error coming while any Applications synchronization or configuration changes or running any REST API commands..??
