Hi,

currently reports are available for everybody loged on to Jira. I want to restrict the availablity to only one group of useres. The group was easily created. But how to set permissions on reports?

I am using the Jira cloud solution.

Thanks,

Alex

There is no way to restrict reports by user.

There's not a lot of point - if they can see the issues with the data, then they can work out whatever the reports are telling them anyway.  All a restriction will do is slow them down and introduce room for them to make mistakes in reading the data.

If you do not want a user to report on something, then you need to hide the issues from them, either by not letting them into projects, or by using issue security.  The reports respect all the permissions, so an issue hidden from a user will not be counted when they run a report that might include it.

Hi Nic,

thanks for your quick help. So I can stop searching for a solution.
