I want the dashboard to be the home page for users rather than projects. I don't think you should need to navigate to a dashboard.
Is this still something that needs to b e handled by support? Seems like such a simple thing for a highly configurable tool like Jira.
Thank You!
Hi Julianne and welcome to Atlassian Community!
In these cases, we open a ticket because it's necessary to disable the feature directly on your instance, it's not something that we can access through the UI.
As per I could check, this feature seems to be disabled on your instance. Can you please let us know when did this behaviour start?
Regards,
Angélica
Hi Angelica,
We are new to Jira / Confluence - still configuring and setting it up, so this has always been the behavior - when you log in you see the Projects view which is not particularly helpful to our team since we are currently just working on one project. I would rather the Dashboard was the homepage - then I could customize it to display useful information relevant to my team and our goals. As it is currently configured I doubt anyone will bother navigating to it, rendering a potentially great communication tool fairly useless. I don't understand the circumstances in which it would be better to start with Projects, especially since projects are listed already on the default dashboard.
Thank you addressing my question,
Julianne

Hi Julianne,
I opened the ticket with our support for them to be able to disable the feature on your instance.
You should have received the confirmation email and soon someone will contact you.
Regards,
Angélica
