We have Scriptrunner. I currently use this to filter on a list of all Issues linked to an Epic.
issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("\"Epic Link\" = <Epic Name>")
Can I do similar to filter all Child Issues who's Parent Link is a deliverable?
issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("\"Parent Link\" = <Parent Link Name>")
But it does not provide a full list of all the Child Issues belonging to that Parent.
Hi @William,
If I understood correctly, your Deliverable issue type is above the Epic level and your goal is to "see from Delivery down to lowest level".
If you are open to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers some dashboard gadgets that can display issues by their hierarchy.
Work Breakdown Structure gadget can display issues by their hierarchy in form of Delivery > Epics > Stories, Tasks > Sub-tasks along with their status.
Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget can display issues by their hierarchy in form of Delivery > Epics > Stories, Tasks along with their status and other fields.
In addition, it can display the progress of the Delivery issues based on containing items.
For more details and how to configure them see this article: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/App-Central-articles/How-to-display-the-progress-of-Epics-or-Initiatives-in-Jira-or/ba-p/2858840

This seems to work. The parent issue in this case is named "SECLENDING-56"
issuekey in childIssuesOf("SECLENDING-56") AND issueType = Epic

Hi @William
You need to use the portfolioChilderenOf or portfolioParentsOf function.
See; https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/latest/features/jql-functions/included-jql-functions

Do these function only work if Advanced Roadmaps is being used? How would I know?

I only know that we have an issue of Type "Deliverable" as the parent. Screenshot of Details shown.
And then Child Issues (Epics) which have the Parent Deliverable as thier Parent Link.
I'd like to my filter the Child Issues of the Parent.

Hi @William
They are JQL functions coming from scriptrunner.
You have to have set the hierarchy and use the parent field.
Plans (roadmaps) has no impact on these JQL additions.
Hi from what level do you want to see the child issues, from Delivery and donw, to lowest level or from Epic to lowest level.
Can you show a screenshot of your hierarchy, option is in system -> work items

Hi @William
I see you are on DC.
Then you should go to the Plan option in the menu bar and choose administration, you will end up in the plans app configuration, search for Hierarchy levels and configure them
