Hello @Vijay Shanmugam

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

If you have sufficient permissions:

1. go to https://admin.atlassian.com

2. select your Organization

3. select Settings

4. in the panel on the left you should find an entry for AI Settings / AI-enabled Apps. Click that.

There you see the apps in the Organization for which AI has been enabled. Note that it is enabled/disabled per Atlassian app, not per Atlassian Cloud Organization.

I must be on user level, not admin! Why should an admin decide on the preferences of a particular user at the company level?

Atlassian doesn't offer a preference setting at the user level for disabling the AI features.

You can hide Rovo with things like the UserStyles extension, using a custom stylesheet. This is how I do it: https://gist.github.com/dandean/97da65730ac2cb6ebc3fbb19ebe46744

I use mine myself: https://github.com/jesus2099/konami-command/blob/master/atlassian_NO-BUGS.user.css

I like your comments, though, to keep track of what is hiding what, it eases maintenance and dead code removal.

Hi, @Vijay Shanmugam

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

In order to deactivate AI features you need to go to Administration portal -> Settings.

And there remove AI from products/apps, where it was enabled.

Be nice if you added a way for a user to opt out. Not everyone needs anti-intelligence (AI) to be a good worker bee.

A tip to people who need AI to be disabled for company policy reasons. You should periodically check this setting, since Atlassian does add new AI apps from time to time, even if you have disabled all before.

Hello,

Welcome to community :)

please find the article that has steps for the same : https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/activate-atlassian-intelligence-for-products/

Please note below :

Deactivating AI will disable all current and upcoming AI features for that app. Any content previously generated by AI will remain.

  1. Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Settings > Atlassian Intelligence. You’ll see a table with apps that already have AI activated.

  3. Select Remove for any of the apps where you want to deactivate AI.

  4. Review your selection and select Save to confirm.

Deactivating AI won’t affect Rovo Search and Studio as they are now part of the Atlassian platform and are always available and always on. However, if you deactivate AI for all apps, Rovo AI features like Agents and Chat will also be disabled.

Thank You,
Prachi

Is there a setting to opt out of Atlassian turning on features like AI? Updating Jira on the  the cloud is one thing. Turning on AI features that let users potentially give away sensitive data without our consent is a huge problem
