Did you mean:

I want global automation for workload(hours).

Zia Ansari January 3, 2023

Hi, I want to set global automation for my all projects. Let say

If a user is assigned to an issue it should check if the hours are increased by 40 per week. If yes It should send an email to a specific email.

This should imply all of the projects inside the Jira Software.

Thanks

Hi @Zia Ansari and welcome to the Community!

I am sorry, but I do not really understand your requirement here. From reading your question, it seems as if every issue that gets assigned should automatically get a value of 40 hours? For every single issue in every project in Jira? Could you be more specific as to what you are trying to achieve?

Also, if it is correct that you are on a free plan, that means you have a limit on the number of executions automation is capable of running each month. That limit is just 500 executions per month on the free plan. Each time an issue is assigned to someone, this rule would trigger, so you are at risk to reach this limit very soon.

Having said that, if you can clarify further what you are looking for, happy to assist you further!

Hi, I am sorry for the ambiguity.

Basically, the rule should be to check the hours of every person being assigned work. If their consumed hours are more than 40 for that week then it should send an email to "abc@ymail.com" that the person ABC's consumed hours are already 40.
