I receive an error when trying to add a new status to a project

When I attempt to add a new Status to an existing project, I'm getting the following error:

Illegal Entity Scope for Entity class (WORKFLOW). Expected entity scope 'GLOBAL' but has scope 'PROJECT'

I'm an Administrator on the project, though I'm not sure that matters.

Hello,

Project admins are limited in editing workflows.

The workflow must not be used in other projects and they can only add existing statuses.
