So, i have a Jira issue type for Stories/Epics
Each Story/Epic breaks into 4 tasks.
Each task has it's own set of subtasks (irrelevant for the search)
I want to create 4 filters that display tasks in relation to a criteria that i choose.
For example:
Filter 1: Display Open Task 1's
Filter 2: Display Open Task 2's when Task 1 is Resolved
Filter 3: Display Open Task 3's when Task 2 is Resolved
Filter 4: Display Open Task 4's when Task 3 is Resolved
My main problem is that all 4 tasks have the same relation with the Epic and are considered 'equal'.
Any way I can make these filters work?
Hello @Andrei Dumitriu
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
How do you distinguish which of the four tasks is 1, 2, 3, and 4?
Hello @Trudy Claspill
Each task has an unique summary that can be used as an identifier. These will never change within the Task summary although the actual summary will be different depending on which Story they are attached to.

How are the Tasks related to the Story issue type? Are you using generic linking?
Are you wanting to generate results for Tasks across Stories?
Is there some link relationship between the Tasks associated with a given Story? Is Task 2 dependent on Task 1? Is there an Issue Link between Tasks in a Story to denote that relationship?

Do you have any third party apps that extend the Search capabilities of Jira, like Adaptavist ScriptRunner or JQL Tricks? If you don't have such apps, are you open to getting one?
