I entered a value in log work to set what I want, but it added to what i entered previously

I have entered some value for the first time in 'log work' and then I wanted to update it with new value and entered what I was thinking, but it actually added up to what i entered first time. Can you please help me how to resolve this?

For example:1st time entered:42h

2nd time I want to update it to 46h, so I entered 46, but it added with 42 and resulted in 88h.

To test what is happening, I entered 1 again, so it is actually adding every time we enter new value.

How can we actually resolve this? I mean how can we correct this wrong value now?

I found the answer in the drop down of search - 'how to reset logged hours'

Go to 'Work log' in 'Activity' section at the bottom of the issue and just delete the entry, it will subtract the hours that was in the entry.
