I don't have a custom field option in my dropdown

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring estimation and tracking

The article states you should be able to declare a custom field as the "Estimation Statistics", but my drop down doesn't show that option (I am using the hosted JIRA option).

It states you can use a *numeric* custom field for the estimation.  Do you have any numeric custom fields defined?
