I created a custom field with the wiki warkup renderer, but it's not working

I created a custom field (free text) and changed the renderer so it can handle wiki mark up.

When i went to the field and added text like:

#testing line

it did not use wiki markup. It should have showed 1. testing line, but it only showed #testing line

Your wiki markup is wrong - put a space between the # and the rest of the line.

Also, check around the field - if you have the configuration right, wiki fields will have a preview and help icons (small) nearby
