Whenever I try to add a user with gmail ID, it says that the invite couldn't be sent. Why is this happening. How to correct this situation?

Please refer to the below question that has been raised by one of the users for the same reason, Hope it help.
Go to User profile/user then hit on Resend button.
Still not resolved then please create a support ticket to Atlassian as this is Cloud instance.
It seems to be permission issue, when my role got promoted to site admin, I was able to add the user.
