I am unable to add a developer to Jira board

As a Jira admin, I am unable to add a developer to my project jiraboard.

It gives an error message.

Hi Sakshi - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Just as a clarification, you don't really add a user to a board - you add them to a project and then they can show on the board.

So, go to Project Settings > People > you can add the developer to the Developer project role there.

What error message are you getting - can you share a screenshot? And what are you trying to do?
