I am not able to create "New defect"

Steps-

1. Click on "Create"

2. Select Issue type as "Defect"

3.Enter summary

4. Enter description

5. Click on "Create"

6. Error pops as "Team is required" in this window there is no field of Team

You need to talk to your Jira admins - they will need to either make the field optional or put it on the create screen so that you can fill it in.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

Jira does not care much about that field being on the form or not. If it is required, it is required.

You should check your Defect issue's Field Configuration and workflow's Create transition to see it Team field was made mandatory.
