Howto solve Daily Backup Mails from different Services with Jira Automation

Dear All,

 

I am completely new to Jira's automation features. I would like to know if it is possible and how to use Jira as documentation for our daily backups.

 

We receive an email from each service and have to manually check them, which I would like to improve. Some cases need to be handled:

 

- Backup is ok: can be closed directly

- Backup has an error: needs to stay open and a notification has to be sent

- Backup email is missing: a ticket has to be created

 

The emails usually come around 02:00 (24h) or (02:00 AM 12h).

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how it can be solved more automatically? The emails are sent during script execution, so hitting a special URL with curl would be possible in most cases.

 

One example mail which I translated from GER to ENG:

 

i.e.: SQL Server

ORDER EXECUTION: ' 'Backup - Daily Diff.Subplan_1'' was executed on ''19.08.2024'' at 22:05:00.

DURATION: 0 hours, 0 minutes, 10 seconds

STATUS: Successful

MESSAGES: The job was successful. The job was called by schedule 9 (Backup - Daily Full.Subplan_1). Step 1 (Subplan_1) was executed last.
