Someone created a sprint on our board and I want to know who did this. I couldn't find this myself, so I searched google.

I was glad to find that I was not the onlyone, someone already mentioned this in 2018. His findings where that that information is currently not available, but you could vote and watch JSWSERVER-10298.

This story was actually closed with solution, but I belief the solution I need is not provided. Can you tell me how I can find who created a sprint? And if Jira doesn't have this option yet, can you create a new story and relate it to ticket JSWSERVER-10298.

As an administrator of the project I would like to see in a log who started a specific sprint.

Kind regards, Richard dD

Hi @Richard DD  -- Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Yes, logging for somethings could be improved for JIRA...  Until then, you could add an automation rule to find this information:

  • Trigger: sprint created
  • Action: send an email to someone about who triggered the rule,  {{initiator.displayName}}

To learn more about automation rules, please look here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/automate-your-jira-cloud-processes-and-workflows/

Best regards,

Bill
