How to view stories and bugs in Kanban view?

Hi there,

I recently created a Jira project and have set up a kanban board to track my team's work.  I've grouped tasks into swimlanes based on Epics, but I'm only able to view tasks in the kanban board view, not stories or bugs.  I've added these issue types (story & bug) in my project's issue types, but when I create a new bug or story it doesn't appear in my board view.  How can I update my board so that it shows stories, tasks, and bug cards alongside each other?

Thanks.

Hi @Christopher Schlaepfer and welcome to the community,

You have to check two things:

Let me know if that helped.

Hi Alex, neither of these helped.

In the first set of instructions for the board's filter, it says to navigate to the "General" page after clicking "Configure Board" - however, there is no "General" page to navigate to after clicking configuration.  There is no indication that any filters are applied elsewhere.

The column mapping page only allows me to add, edit, delete, or move columns; there is no option to fine-tune which types appear in each column.

Seems unintuitive that only tasks should appear by default, while showing other (arguably more descriptive) issue types is hidden behind setting buried within the board configuration, that I still can't seem to find.
