Once you have a space bound in the project pages settings for a team managed project, the only way to unlink that space, is to delete the space from the confluence side.
I recommend you setup an empty space in confluence, then in the team managed project, re-link to the new empty space (which will maintain the original space's pages, effectively unlinking them), and then delete the new space from confluence.
This will leave your team managed project without a confluence space associated.
