How to stop users from loosing access after a while

Hi there,

I have configured my Jira instance to use an AD as the single user directory. In my AD, I have the group "AtlassianUsers" and have given this group application access in the Jira configuration.

I can login just fine using an AD user. However, after being logged in for about an hour, I loose all access rights and cannot use the application anymore. After I log out and back in, everything is fine again.

Is there any common mistake I could have made? Does anyone know these symptoms?

Edit, with further information: Every AD user is set to inactive when the AD user directory synchronizes. Still no solution however.

Hello,

I guess you do not do any action in Jira and your session expires. You can set the session timeout limit in your Jira. You can find more info here:

Good idea, thanks! I'll try to set this to 0 and see if the problem persists. I'm a bit curious though, as the user was not being logged out but only lost application rights.

Thank you in any way :)

When a session is expired. It is not written, that you are logged out. You just can not access anything. That is how it works:)
