Hi @elcho and welcome to the Community!

That you are not seeing progress is probably linked to the estimation statistic of your board. There is a good chance that it is set to story points, that you are probably not using.

Navigate to board settings, estimation and change the setting to issue count (or any other concept that you are using to estimate):

I've tried your suggestion, but it only shows the 3 circles on the top, not on the backlog list. see screenshot below. It only seems to work on Team-Managed projects but not Company-managed projects. Please advise.
