How to set up an Automation rule that will affect all Issues in one Sprint?

I need to set up an Automation rule that will transition all Issues within one Sprint into a specific status when that Sprint starts. Please help with the correct flow of the rule.

Hello Maya,

Use the Sprint Started trigger. You'll have to select the board where you want this to take effect.

Then use For Branch / Related Issues / Issues in Sprint.

Does your sprint have issue in it from more than one project? If so, you will need to create a Global Rule and set the scope for the rule and this step to all the projects for which issues might be in the sprint.

Next you would add a Transition Issue action. You'll have to explicitly specify the Status to which the issues need to be changed, since there was no trigger issue or parent issue from which to copy the status.

You could do something like this:

• TRIGGER: Sprint started
• BRANCH: Issues in the sprint
  • ACTION: Transition Issue (To desired status)
