Copilot does not automatically retrieve Jira issue content or comments unless a proper connector is configured. By default, Jira Cloud data is not available to Microsoft Copilot.
To enable this, you would need to:
• Configure a Microsoft Graph Connector for Jira (if available in your tenant)
• Or create a custom connector using Copilot Studio and Jira REST APIs
• Ensure correct API scopes (e.g., read access to issues and comments)
• Map Jira permissions correctly so Copilot can access the indexed data
Also confirm that comments are included in the indexing configuration. In many setups, only issue metadata is indexed initially.
Without a connector or API-based integration, Copilot cannot retrieve issue content directly.
