How to see how an issue has progressed

I'm interested in having a dashboard to show me week over week what the progression or update has been on a ticket.

You can simply place it in a filter results gadget on the dashboard, and then ask it to show you the fields you're interested in looking at for "progress" - There is a field for simple "progress" on an issue you might use as a starter!
