I would like to create a dashboard that has a widget that shows the number of tickets with a specific label as well as the number of Story Points associated with it. Story Points is a custom label we use, but it's not showing in the dropdown of fields to select. Any ideas?

Ah thanks team @Rilwan Ahmed @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- @Pavlomir Marinov-DevAcrobats-

It's indeed a number field so that makes sense. I'm quite new to the dashboard functionality, so I was trying to see if I could use any of the widgets to display the number of SPs with a certain label.

So either I would need to make this not a numerical field, or to try and find an app in the marketplace? Any idea if there are any free apps out there that could achieve this?

Hello Eugénia Hewitt,

I'm Pavlomir from NaraSyst, a marketplace partner.

I would agree with Rilwan's answer. You can try using the Atlassian's Two Dimensional Filter Statistics gadget to display your desired labels. The only limitation I can see is if you used a Numerical field for your Story Points. If this is the case you can try Rilwan's second suggestion and complete your report with some of the third party apps.

For example, in Performance Objectives you can select Heat map with the following settings:

Metric : Number of Issues
Horizontal by: Story Points
Vertical by: Labels

Here's a sample chart for this report:

To explore "Performance Objectives: Charts for Jira" try the 30-day trial period. Also, the app is free for up to 10 users. For assistance with configuring this report or any other, our support team is available to help.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

What type of field is the story points field?  And what gadget are you trying to use to report on it?

Gadgets can only work with certain types of field.  For example, the statistics gadgets can only group by list fields because they need to work with a finite list of possible options, they can't work with free-format where every possible entry could be different (list fields are select lists, user pickers, labels, components and so on.  Free format fields are numbers, dates and text)

Hi @Eugénia Hewitt ,

Welcome to  the community !!

I can only think of "Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" Gadget.
If this doesnot help, either you have to add 2 different "Issue Statistics" Gadget or check for any gadget in the marketplace
