How to restore a jira ticket description from history (with tables in wiki markup)

Hello dear community,

while it is great that we can see the history of the ticket description in the activities tab, it is of limited use if we cannot use this to restore text.

In the history, tables are formatted using atlassian wiki markup.

But the jira and confluence cloud editors no longer accept or auto-detect that format.

It is quite a large table, and because someone had an editor open with an old version and saved that we lost quite a lot of information.

I tried using Rovo, which worked okay for the formatting but just cropped away more than half the content.

What am I to do?
