How to rename issue type field name

Hi, 

As per our project requirement, we wanted to re-name the "Issue Type" field name to "Project Stage", how do I make this changes?

Issue Type is a system field,

as per my knowledge. It's a locked field. maybe in the cloud, it's not possible,

Hi @eshwar ranga Currently it is not possible to rename standard/system fields like Summary,Issue Type, Fix Versions etc..

 The feature request for Jira Cloud is this one:
