Hello,

Some of our users are either not well informed or not paying attention, but instead of trying to log in with their username, they keep trying to log in using their email address instead.

Is there any way to put some kind of information, or to show them before typing in the username what it should look like?

Thank you!

Hello @arama mihai ,

Please ask users to login by the following URL. replace ABC with your company URL.

https://abc.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

This page lands you with two gadgets.

1. Introduction

2. Login details

Example:

Please check the below link. regarding "Introduction gadget" customization. choose your  version from dropdown.

Hi @arama mihai

It says right there the term Username, what more do we need.

Make use of the Introduction Gadget (It's available in the General Configuration Page)

Thanks,
Pramodh

Hi @Pramodh M

Thank you, for your reply. It doesn't seem to be that obvious for everybody, so I was hoping for something that could throw an error when the user gets the "username or password invalid" error, to alert: "the username should have the following format: xxxxxx" .

The introduction gadget appears after successfully logging in so it is not my use-case.

Best regards,

Mihai

Hi @arama mihai

The trailing URL after your Domain Name (/secure/Dashboard.jspa) has Introduction Gadget.

This is the feasible solution.

You can configure the Introduction Gadget by going to General Configuration Page.

It supports Markdown, you can highlight the Username format and other login details.
