How to move through workflow without giving edit permission

How to move through workflow without giving edit permission

Hi,

The workflow we have setup goes something like

Online

Offline

Investingating

I would like to give all users the ability to click on an issue and move it through the workflow to Offline, but I don't want the users editing (the subject/description etc) of the issue - just changing status.

Is this possible?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can stop people editing issues on selected statuses using workflow properties: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Workflow+Properties

Use the jira.issue.editable property if you want to limit all.
