Hello.

My company is trying to apply JIRA to our work field as an issue tracking tool. By way of test, we are using JIRA with its free download version.

Then, we are wondering how to move database on free version to on demand version in case we purchase the subscription. Is it possible to backup all data and import them?

Also, we'd like to know if there is no problem in keeping all data and set up environment when we use its on demand trial version first, then switch or upgrade its version.

I am looking forward to getting your prompt answer!

Thanks in advance.

It's possible to import project data or everything into OnDemand. But, OnDemand has some limitations, and there are some things you can do in Download that you cannot in OnDemand, so if you've taken advantage of any of those features, you may lose access to them.

You won't have any problems with upgrading - OnDemand is kept on the latest release and is updated automatically for you.
