How to move a story from one board to another within same Project?

Would like to close a board and move all backlog to another board within the same project.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Hi Patricia, Simply create a new board and map the statuses correctly. You should see all the issues appearing on the other board as well. Hope this helps.

Thank you - the new board was already created and I was able to give the items from the old board the same filters as the new/existing board.

Boards are not containers for issues, you can't "move" issues between them because they don't hold them.  Projects hold issues.

Boards select issues via the board filter.  If you want a new board to show the same issues as an existing board, give it the same filter as the first board.  You can "close" or delete, or whatever the old board and it won't touch the issues, as they're just being selected by it.

thank you!  I was able to 'move' it by giving the items the same filter as the other board.

Very simple and quick.  thanks
