We have another project they would like to migrate their Jira server to our Jira Data Center, can you tell me what migration capabilities are available for our current environment. The current version we have for Jira is 8.5.0 with Window server 2016.
My recommendation would be to build a new Data Center environment, validate that everything is operating as expected without data, then migrate your data in to it, install your Apps and validate again.
Atlassian has a good article on what is required for Data Center. You can use the article for moving Jira from one server to another as a guide on how to migrate the data.
Keep in mind that Atlassian only provides guidance on their software. You're on your own for making your database, load balancer and shared storage highly available. If you're not comfortable setting up a clustered environment, you may want to reach out to a local Atlassian Solution Partner. We do a lot of Data Center implementations and they can be tricky, depending on your particular situation.
Thank you for quick response ! I have an existing Data Center application already, now they want me migrate the existing Jira server application to the existing Jira Data Center Application.

Gotcha. Check the second link. It's probably fastest to take a DB backup and import that, as long as the database technology is the same between the two instances. You will also need to manually copy the attachments.

The second link tells me how to migrate the Jira application from one server to another new server. Do you have any documents or links regarding how to migrate an existing Jira server application to another existing Jira Data Center application ?
