How to make a downtime for a single project in jira

Kavitha K

As we have planned to migrate projects from jira server to jira cloud using jira migration assistant, we need to make downtime for single project in jira server based upon the migration. How can we make a downtime for a single project in jira.

Create a permission scheme that doesn't allow for anything other than "users can browse project".  Then swap the target project to it when you are about to migrate.

People will be able to see the project, but not alter the data.  You probably want to leave it that way as well, if the users are moving to Cloud.

Hello @Kavitha K,

I think we can't set any such kind of thing for a single project.

You can use project permissions and delete all permissions in the permission scheme. so all users can't perform any tasks on the project.

Thanks,

Anvesh
