How to load comments from excel to jira with past dates

Hi,

our team started using jira and we would like to import the comments from excel to jira with past dates. is it feasible in jira ?

earlier we used to track our task in excel sheet and now want to import all task and comments to jira with past dates

It gives you a comprehensive guide on how to import CSV files to Jira Projects, including “comments” and “dates”

You can import multiple comments on an issue if you're using the external CSV import. You just need to create a separate column for each comment, with the same header name. In turn Jira will import these as separate comments. You just need to make sure your CSV file is formatted correctly.

For example, if you have a task that has 75 comments and that is the one with the most comments, your CSV file would be expected to have 75 comment columns in order to maintain the formatting.
