How to get transiton screen when issue is transitioned using script

Hi,

My requirement is to get transition screen, or any pop up screen when assignee field is updated.

Since pop-up screens can appear only during workflow change, I used fast-track transition listner which is transitioning my issue (to same state) on assignee change. The purpose of using transitioning is to get pop-up screen to update a custom field value on assginee update.

I would like to know if there is a way to get transition screen or a pop-up screen on assignee change event. If yes, please let me know.

Assuming by "get a screen", you mean "pop up a list of fields for someone to enter", then you can't do this.

Reassigning an issue is not something that needs any more data, so there's nothing that would do this.

If, however, you phrase the question in a more user-friendly way - "we need to do X to an issue", then the answer is simple - make sure the assignee field is on the create, edit or transition screen you use for the action.
