How to get sidebar's EPIC LINK to not show all resolved Epics?

Although creating a new issue will only show Epics of Resolution status "Unresolved":

Choosing an EPIC LINK from the sidebar of a task in the Backlog or Kanban view gives all Epics that have existed:

Is there a way the sidebar can only show unresolved epics?

You need to be sure to set the Epic Status to Done. Not just the issues Status to Done.

I can verify that the status and resolution for them were set to done earlier, but they still show up in EPIC LINK.

But that isn’t the “epic status” that is the issues status

I can also confirm that the Epic Status was Done with the original issue.
