To get your Atlassian Jira user ID (also known as accountId) follow these steps:
Click on your user avatar (usually at the bottom left or top right) and select Profile.
The URL should look like this:https://your-domain.atlassian.net/jira/people/{accountId}
Your accountId is the string directly after /people/
in the URL.
For example, in https://your-domain.atlassian.net/jira/people/123456:abcd-efgh-ijkl-mnop
, the accountId is 123456:abcd-efgh-ijkl-mnop
If you are Jira Admin
Go to admin.atlassian.com
Choose your organization and select Directory > Users
Click the user’s name to open their profile. The user's ID appears in the URL after /users/
Note:
The accountId format may vary (older users might have shorter or differently formatted IDs), but the unique ID always appears in the profile URL.
If you’re not an admin, viewing your own profile is the most reliable and simplest method to get your own ID.
Hey @v_sai_shruti,
You can head over to your profile in the upper right corner (your avatar > 'Profile') and look for the last part of the URL that opens:
%YOUR_SITE%.atlassian.net/jira/people/%YOUR_ID%
Regards,
Thorsten
