How to fix the missing the delete icon for comments in Jira

The comment was a repeated entry, the user decided to delete however after saving only the edit button appeared. User has same permissions as the other teams. What would be the procedure to enable the delete feature in comments?

The permission scheme controls everything. The safest is to allow to only delete your own comments.
