How to find out all the issues commented by an user

Are there any ways to get the list of all issues commented by an user ?.

JQL can retrieve for reported/assigned for an user.

But not sure if there is any other option to be used in there.

Even thinking of using " Participants " field in JQL seem to be not showing any results (for example " Participants in (userid) "

Pls let me know if any info I missed here

JQL Tricks Plugin (paid) has a method to find issues commented by a user.
