A user has been using the new List feature found on the Jira project sidebar. He's asked me how he can export the contents of the list. I've look and googled but have not found any information on exporting.

Any suggestions would be appreciate

Thanks,

Rich

Hello @Rich Scire

The List View does not include an Export option.

However, the List View is really just a somewhat different version of the Issues view. The same output can be generated in the Issues view, and there is an Export option on that view.

Hi @Rich Scire

I don't know if this request, in itself, justifies additional tooling for you, but just to put it out there: If you are open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of advanced features - including support for (configurable) issue hierarchiesissue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting - and works across any number of projects.

Plus, you can export your exact list view to Excel or CSV in just two clicks, like so:

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes
