Hello,

Welcome to community :)

You would need delete work item permission to be able to delete issues in jira. Please find the article : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-item-permissions/#:~:text=in%20public%20spaces-,Delete%20work%20items,-The%20Delete%20work

Please ask your admin to give you the permission

Thank You,

Prachi

Hello @Soummya Banerjee

If you are referring to deleting workitems that are created in a Jira project, then you will need 'Delete Issues' permission in this project.
It can be configured under Project Settings->Permissions->Delete Issue.
Make sure to add the process role (example: Developer, Scrum Master, etc) under the 'Delete Issue' permission.

To access Project Settings, you need to have a Project Administrator role.

Hope this helps!

Rajat
