I have setup a custom field in Jira of type 'Select List (cascading)' that consists of 2 drop down lists, 1 containing a product name the other containing its applicable version number.

When a new issue is created, the product name and version have to be chosen.  An MS Teams notification is then sent out to notify team members of the issue creation.

Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to display the product name in this Teams notification message - I've tried the following, all without success:

  • {{issue.[Product Name].name}} - displayed nothing (blank value)
  • {{issue.Product Name & Version.name}} - displayed nothing (blank value)
  • {{issue.Product Name.description}} - displayed nothing (blank value)
  • {{issue.Product Name & Version.description}} - displayed nothing (blank value)
  • {{issue.Product Name & Version}} - displayed the product and version but buried in amongst other text:

Please can someone help me with this.

Resolved - had to do this:

{{issue.Product Name & Version.value}}
