How to display a custom field with a label UI in backlog view?

In backlog view Epics are displayed with a label UI... But custom fields are displayed as plain text...

Is there a way to display the custom field in a UI that is not plain text? Make it look more like the Epic name is displayed?

You can't do that out-of-the-box unfortunately. Perhaps your best option is to look on the marketplace and see if something relative exists.
