How to design the front page

Hi,

I am trying to design the front page but unable to know where to start. Are there any modules that I can use to make the front page more attractive.

Basically, I want to show the login form and some content in the page which will state why a user has to login and raise a ticket and what he can except from the support etc.

Instead of editing the front page, I would suggest creating a new page and directing to the new page as your Site Homepage This option will be most flexible as you will be able to edit the Site Homepage within confluence itself.
