I'm writing this question from my personal account because I lost access to my MFA for my business account when my phone reset and I can no longer access it (I suppose I created the account prior to backup codes being available and never had any saved). Because of the way Atlassian Support is configured, there's no way for me to contact Support about my inability to access my account without logging in. This seems like it would be a pretty large issue for users and customer retention.
I would like to delete my business Atlassian account because I can no longer access it and no longer need it. My organization now uses a different instance of Jira, so this would eliminate any issues with the conversion of my account in the future in case they grant me to the app. The Admins for the old instance also can no longer log into Jira to help me resolve my access issues.
If an Atlassian admin could reach out to me directly, it'd be greatly appreciated. I can provide my business email that way. Thank you!

I'm guessing you have access to your business email (the one linked to your Atlassian account)?
As we're talking about a business account, do you maybe know if this Atlassian account is managed by an organization (for example, using Atlassian Guard or SSO), or is it an individual account not linked to any company-managed domain?
If your account is managed by an organization, then another Org admin could deactivate (or even delete your account).
If it's an individual account, I believe when prompted for your verification code during login, you can select the option "Cant use your phone?" and there are a couple of other options afterwards, like "Can't find your recovery key?"

I will escalate this to Atlassian support. If it is a company controlled account you will probably have to work with the company to have the account deleted but they can confirm.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for your account issues. The best path forward would be for your to submit a request through our Customer Advocates portal. When you navigate to the portal ensure you select the "Contuine without logging in". From there ensure you enter the account information for the problemed account.
