How to delete a web link during clone in Jira using scripts

I am trying to clone a issue with "Clone links" checkbox checked. Is there anyway I can delete a web link( a link that comes from perforce) during this operation. 

If so can anyone help me with the script?

Not sure if that could solve your problem but with our cloud app Deep Clone for Jira you can decide if you want to clone web links or not.

Are you using the built-in jira clone functionality?

That's the only place that I'm aware with a "Clone Links" checkbox.

One option that may work for you is to create a workflow transition with a "Clones an issue, and links" scriptrunner post function.

Then, follow the documentation for "Control of cloning links"
