Good time of day to everyone! I have the next question: if we have an issue with a lot of comments from one user and with some text patterns mixed with useful comments from another users, can we setup the project automation to fiind this comments (according to user and text criterias) and delete them?
Hello Roman,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
When creating an automation, it will run for all tickets created after the automation was created. As per the details you provided, you would like that the automation removes comments already added, so if that's the case, it won't be possible.
It's possible to create an automation to delete future comments that contain a specific text, but I'm afraid that for tickets that already have this comment, it will be necessary to manually delete it.
The rule to delete future comments will be like the example below:
If you have any other questions regarding this, please let us know.

is there also a way, that you know of, to do this in Jira cloud and look for certain criteria like comment.author.displayname and delete each comment in that issue?
I am fiddling around with the branch rule, but I can't get the iteration right, first to identify all comments with its ID to delete it.
Regards, Alex
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
