How to create new email template for custom event?

We have created custom event where user has to select default email template . If it is possible please provide

us steps to create new email template for custom event

You can't on Cloud, access to the code is restricted.

Hi Nic, Thanks for giving the answer. One more doubt is coming in my mind for Jira cloud email content update. I am receiving email content of the issues in very in-proper format. Can we change the format of the email template of the issues in Jira Cloud?

I just said that you can't change the templates on Cloud Your only options on Cloud are in your profile - you can choose to get your emails in text or html.
