How to create a program and then initiatives?

Hi, We have Jira Cloud Premium, with Advanced Roadmaps, and I'm trying to create a program per these instructions:

However, our "Plans" menu does NOT have the "Create->Program->Create" option, just "Create Plan".  In fact, there is nothing that shows any program or initiative option.

How can we enable this functionality?

Welcome to the community.

The document you are looking at is for Advanced Roadmaps in Jira Data Center, as indicated by the toggle in the upper right where Data Center (vs. Cloud) is highlighted. You need to be looking at the documentation for Advanced Roadmaps for Jira Cloud.

I don't use Roadmaps at all, and my quick search did not find a reference to creating Programs, but you may be able to find it.

As @Trudy Claspill mentioned above, the documentation you found only applies to Data Center. Cloud does not have the Program option, but you can still create a a plan that contains multiple projects. Just be aware that there are limits on how big your plan can be, see Limits on plan size in Advanced Roadmaps. There is a request to have programs, or plan of plans, implemented in Cloud, JSWCLOUD-19390, and I would recommend that you vote on it if you would like to see this to be implemented in the future.
