How to create a new project department in Jira?

I am trying to create a new project department, in which I can charge hours. The new project department should appear as an option in the page of Create New Issue.

Hi @Carol Rodriguez I probably do not understand the problem, sorry :).

If you need to add the option to the field, you have to go to the field's configuration... attaching screenshots of how to do it step by step:
