How to create a Scrum Board from an existing project in the new JIRA UI

Deleted user

I am trying the new navigation and cannot figure out how to create a Scrum Board from an existing project. I only see a + sign and create board with no options available to select from an existing project. Help please.

Hi @[deleted] and welcome to the Community!

In a normal, company managed Jira project, you should be able to hit the + button and then select scrum board from the menu that pops up:

If you don't see the option from the menu, your project may not be a Jira project, it may be team managed or a business project. In those cases, you won't be able to add a scrum board to it, since this is a software feature.

As a workaround, you can click on the search bar and select boards near the bottom of the panel that this opens up. There will be a big Create Board button near the top right corner there that lets you create boards from existing projects or filters.

Hope this helps!
